Be HERE NOW!

Healthy Grocery List Tips

What should your meals look like?
  • Half of your plate should be fruits and vegetables. The more colors the better.
  • One quarter of your plate should be for protein
  • One quarter of your plate should be for your whole grain carbohydrates (whole- wheat pasta, whole wheat- couscous, whole- wheat bread, etc.)
One of the most common questions that you hear from young athletes and their parents is how can he/she improve their performance on the field, court, or in the classroom.  One of the best answers to this question is nutrition.  When people, students or parents, start making better choices when it comes to nutrition, their performance at work, at school, or at practice will improve.  Food is the fuel source for our body.  The higher grade fuel you put into your body, the more efficient you will be.  Food impacts everybody on a daily basis, and the more information we have to inform us of better decisions, the better off we all are!

Who needs a little Motivation!

This is awesome!  I had to watch it twice to believe what I was seeing.  Talk about Heart!  What a RACE!  I have always believed that people can usually give more!  This woman had more to give and when she was knocked down and could have given up, and everybody would have understood why she gave up, she gave more. She worked harder, She overcame her set backs.  She succeeded.  She WON!

Together Everyone Accomplishes More.....

This last week our school had a great motivational speakers visit our school.  Jim Tunney, a super bowl referee and guest speaker.  Here is his top ten list to create a positive force in your life:  It's the Will, Not the Skill.

1:  Be Grateful for the Blessing in your Life!
Count um' Daily
2:  Be excited about your job
3:  Seek out new challenges
4:  Set high standards for yourself
5:  Exercise regularly
6:  Accept criticism as a gift
7:  Thank people
8:  Care for others
9:  Be responsible to your boss and co-workers
10:  Be a T-E-A-M player

Each and every one of these concepts, when implemented daily in your life will change your outlook and relationships with others.  You will start to become a leader and postive driving force among your peers and co-workers.  They will look to you for direction and advice.  The only way to change the situation your in, is for you to change something you can control!  Your perception!  The most paralizing mental illness among human kind is misconeption of ones self.
